Need to roll back?

If the latest version gives you trouble, you can reinstall the previous release (v0.9.1.0). Extract it over your existing AASM folder and keep your data folder — your servers, license and settings stay put. The app will offer to update again on next launch, so please report the issue so it can be fixed.

Verify Your Download

Every release is published with a SHA-256 fingerprint so you can confirm the downloaded file exactly matches the official build — a recommended check for any software install, especially on a server.

Windows: 9768672db05a54dd9592c5debf1ab93eb812cea245d65d848b0cc7cbd3088810

On Windows: certutil -hashfile ASM_v0.9.2.zip SHA256

Linux: 4278db8c6305a189da4d487378dcdd17865d6e61e85fc0fe4e81c0a872b55f71

On Linux: sha256sum ASM_v0.9.2.tgz
Compare each output with the matching hash above — they must match exactly. (The in-app updater verifies this automatically on every update.)

System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 (1903+), Windows 11, or Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025 — or Linux, 64-bit with a graphical session (Ubuntu 22.04+ / Debian 12+ recommended)
  • RAM: 16 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended for multiple servers
  • CPU: Quad-core or better
  • Storage: SSD recommended; ~30 GB free per ARK server install
  • Network: Stable broadband for Steam / mod downloads

Installing on Linux

  1. Download v0.9.2.tgz and extract it anywhere in your home folder: right-click → Extract Here.
  2. Open the extracted ARK Server Manager folder and double-click ARK Server Manager (first time only: right-click → Properties → Permissions → “Allow executing file as program”).
  3. That’s it — no packages to install. Both apps appear in your applications menu with icons after first launch, and updates install themselves in-app (both apps at once). Your servers, settings and license live in ~/.local/share/aasm and survive every update.

The single download contains both the Server Manager and the RCON Manager. During installs and updates a SteamCMD console window opens and closes itself, exactly like on Windows.
